Disneyland and Hong Kong

Seven days in two clear halves: three days around Disneyland Resort, followed by breakfast counters, street markets, the harbour ferry and the upper-deck view from a double-decker tram.

Disneyland

We arrived at the resort in the afternoon and went directly into the park. A first ride settled everyone into the day, and after dark the castle fireworks gave the opening night its natural finish.

Back at the Resort

The next day stayed outside the park. A walk beside the lake and time making crafts at the hotel slowed the pace after the first evening at Disneyland.

Back to Disneyland

We returned to Disneyland for a full second day. With no need to rush through everything at once, the children had more time to stop at whatever caught their attention.

Breakfast and Seeing the Town

After three days at Disneyland, we spent the rest of the trip in Hong Kong itself. It was a very different pace: breakfast at Australia Dairy Company, walking through the markets, crossing Victoria Harbour by ferry and riding one of the city’s double-decker trams.
